SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – Hi, Utah, I hope it’s been a great Tuesday for you! Today we envision a seasonal day across Beehive State with good sunshine.
Highs will be in the 1980s above about the 90s along the Wasatch Front, near 100 at St. George, and in higher terrain it will be the 1970s and 1980s.
After a respite in the smoke, others are about to return. As of tonight, the smoke will become patchy, particularly in the northern half of the state. Our southwest flow will become more westerly as a system arrives from the Pacific Northwest from Wednesday through Thursday, which could allow more smoke to enter.
Also, for the middle and second half of the week, as the system approaches, we will introduce the possibility of a few showers and storms east of I-15 in elevated areas. Temperatures will also start to drop.
Take out, enjoy today with the sunshine as we’ll see more smoke across the state by tomorrow. For the most part, the warm-up also ends the day after tomorrow with temperatures dropping below seasonal averages.
