‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Season 3 Images Show Jen Shah

The cold open of Wednesday’s Season 3 premiere of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” featured at the bottom of this article, harkens back to a more innocent time for Bravo’s cast members — before then reveal how their lives and friendships exploded during the run of the show.

The scene begins in December 2019 with the first confessionals the women filmed for the show’s first season, as they introduce themselves and their relationships to other cast members. Jen Shah – who in July this year pleaded guilty to criminal fraud charges and will be sentenced (likely to jail) in November – tries to explain her work, which she calls ‘direct response marketing’. As the public now knows, Shah was actually – as she now admits – a figurehead in a telemarketing scheme that defrauded tons of (often elderly) people. She was arrested while filming Season 2, practically on camera. And as Shah protested his innocence, the second season benefited a lot from his legal troubles.

Season 3 finds Shah in the dark place that led to her guilty plea, with her husband Coach Shah saying things like “our time is drawing near” and her expressing suicidal thoughts to her mother. Gone is the 2019 Jen Shah, who said, “I do millions. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do for the money. I’m like the Wizard of Oz.

Confessional footage unearthed in 2019 for the “front” portion of the cold open also serves to highlight the fractures in what was once a tight-knit group, with real relationships between the women. Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow were true friends until season 2, but their fate was sealed when Barlow – having been pushed to the brink – launched an angry and obscene rant about Marks behind a closed door so that she still had her microphone on.

As of the show’s current time, it appears Marks hasn’t been able to get past being called a “whore” and “fucking shit,” among other invectives uttered in that mic moment. hot. (For Barlow’s full monologue, please see this mug on Etsy.) Barlow will scream at some point in this upcoming season. In 2019, Marks said, “Lisa and I met the first Sundance I experienced in Utah. I know she supports me. I know she wants what’s best for me. I know there’s no ulterior motive in that” – but that was then, and this is now.

Even sadder is what happened between Heather Gay and Whitney Rose, who weren’t just close friends, but cousins. “Show up for your people,” Gay tells Rose over a dining table, as Rose glares back at him that’s the real-life equivalent of the skull emoji.

The cast of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Season 3 will be slightly different, as Mary Cosby quit/was fired for not showing up for the Season 2 reunion in January. This means there will be no more extended scenes of Cosby – the leader of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church, who has been accused of having cult leader control over his congregation – wandering around in his closet. Jennie Nguyen is also no longer in the series: at the start of filming for the third season, she was fired for posting racist memes on social networks.

Still, the main cast of Barlow, Gay, Marks, Rose, and Shah remain, along with three “friends” to accompany them: Danna Bui-Negrete, Angie Katsanevas, and Angie Harrington (whom we saw a bit in season 2, stirring the jar with Barlow).

Whatever happens in Bravo’s third season, we know one thing for sure: Marks pats Shah while the two women are apparently in lingerie (Marks is also wearing an “I Love New York” baseball cap) as Shah yells, “It’s okay.” was taken away from me! Everything!” is going to be meme to death.
