Utah Sports Commission Presents Massive Skateboarding Weekend with Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert

Winner of the 2021 competition state of governors of Sport Award for Best Event in Utah

VISTA, Calif., July 12, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Today the Utah Athletic Commission and Tony Hawk Inc. announced an incredible weekend of skateboarding at Utah State Fairpark, featuring “by Tony Hawk Green Alert (THVA). » After the Olympic debut of skateboarding in Tokyo in 2021, one of America’s Olympic homes, Salt Lake City, will host a world-class field of top male and female skateboarders.

Following the hugely successful THVA 2021, this epic, free-to-the-public, two-day weekend event returns to Utah State Fairpark on friday august 26ewith the preliminary rounds of the men’s and women’s pro competition and the highly anticipated by Tony Hawk Green Alert “Legends Demo”. Saturday the 27the culminates with a combined field of 16 of the top male and female green skaters competing in the THVA Finals and “Best Trick Contest”. Fans will watch some of the greatest tunes and most progressive tricks in green skateboarding all over by Tony Hawk “HuckJam Ramp”, widely known as the best skateboard ramp ever built. And don’t forget an appearance both days from the legend herself, Tony Hawk.

The winners of the 2021 event included the men’s final champion Edouard Damestoywomen’s final champion sky brownand fastest lap winners jimmy wilkins and sky brown. All should return to defend their titles.
